THE SPATIAL TECHNOLOGY IN SCHOOLS COMPETITION

The GTASA has been a long term promoter of this competition to encourage the use of spatial technology such as GIS in schools.  Over the years South Australian schools have been very successful in the competition Australia wide and we are keen to continue this tradition of excellence.  Winners of the South Australian section of the competition have been Concordia College, Findon High School, Murray Bridge High School and Cornerstone College.  At a meeting on October 18th, 2007,  GIS interested teachers were provided with data, ideas and mentors to enter the competition.  Thanks to Neil Coffee (Adelaide University), David Bruce (University of South Australia) for running the session and Sarah Crossman (Spatial Science Institute) for the data work.

This page of the website is designed to support teachers intending to enter the competition again in 2008.  Useful information and process sheets will be posted related to the data use and the final report format. />/>/>/>
