CENTRA TRAINING ON-LINE
In 2007 and 2008 the GTASA in partnership with DECS, the Australian Bureau of Statistics and ESRI Australia conducted on-line training for teachers using the CENTRA prgramme. The CENTRA program programme is an on-line inter-active programme with multi-media and application share capabilities. To find out more about CENTRA go to http://www.centra.com/centra7.asp . The only things required by those participating in the on-line training is a broadband Internet connection, ArcGIS on their computer (provided free to all training participants by ESRI Australia for the duration of the training - Free software order form for CENTRA training participants), a set of multimedia headphones ($9.95 at the Office Works) and a webcam (optional: $16.95 at the Office Works).
GTASA CENTRA sessions on GIS and Supertable will be conducted in 2009.
